Call for Models & Photo Ideas in the SL Steamlands

Popular SL Steamlands DJ/Photographer Patty Poppy is putting together a new show of photographs over the next few weeks. She’s looking for Steamlanders and Dieselpunkers to take part. Interested? Here’s the announcement from Poppy herself…

Elegant Steampunk/Dieselpunk Exhibit – Photography by Autopilotpatty Poppy – Coming to Bare RoseGallery in March

I have been asked to exhibit in the BareRoseGallery once again.  (If I recall correctly the last exhibit there was the “Stockings!” exhibit 3-4 years ago.)  After considering many options I’ve decided on a theme that will require help from Steamland residents and/or those in love with steampunk/dieselpunk.  The exhibit will be in sepia or some form of experimental dual or monotone color/texture.

The images will enhance the elegance of what we think of as steampunk or dieselpunk – the texture, form and colors.   This can be from clothing to architecture, landscape to lingerie, or rags to riches.  This will be a PG exhibit but you know me…  always on the edge… (evil grin)

Needless to say, I need to start this photo project right away. I expect the photo shoot to end by February 23rd. Please contact me very soon VIA NOTECARD titled “Elegant Steampunk and your name”  In the note card, tell me your idea for an image and a possible location and what you think the strongest point of the photo might be.

Sadly due to gallery limitations not all photos will be used in that exhibit but I will have a private showing that contains an image of every person who takes part in this project – maybe a book…. ohhh!

Do not wait until the last minute to decide whether you want to participate in this exhibit.  Anyone from any of the steamlands can participate. Participants will get a framed copy of their photo after the exhibit has been hung.

Regards,

Dame Poppy
